The Tampere Club is a high level discussion forum having annual meeting devoted to democracy and the rule of law. The topic of the 2003 meeting is ‘Globalisation and Democracy’. The meeting in 2003 takes place in Tampere immediately after the 21st IVR World Congress in Lund. The following members of the Tampere Club will participate the 2003 meeting: Michael Baurmann (Germany), Geoffrey Brennan (Australia), James M. Buchanan (USA), Anoush Ehteshami (UK), Abdou Filali-Ansary (UK), Bruno S. Frey (Switzerland), Ernesto Garzón Valdés (Germany), Francisco Laporta (Spain), Philip Pettit (Australia), Ruth Zimmerling (Germany), Reinhard Zintl (Germany) and from Finland Aulis Aarnio (Tampere), Matti Sintonen (Tampere), and Raimo Väyrynen (Helsinki). Aulis Aarnio and Philip Pettit will deliver presentations at the IVR World Congress in Lund. Aleksander Peczenik and Richard Posner who also are members of the Club will participate in the discussion. The same applied probably to Roth Zimmerling and Ernesto Garzón Valdes. |
