The Bank of Sweden Tercentenary Foundation (Stiftelsen Riksbankens
Jubileumsfond) aims to support scientific research by awarding project
grants to individual researchers and teams of researchers. The Foundation
was created in 1962 through an endowment from the Bank of Sweden to mark its
three-hundredth anniversary in 1968. The first grants from the Bank of

The Crafoord Foundation (Crafoordska stiftelsen) In 1980, Mr. Holger Crafoord donated SEK 3 million to a foundation with a charter "without gain to any individual person or organisation, to promote scientific education and research......" The capital of the Foundation has risen to approx. SEK 1.600 million by the year 2000. The Söderberg Foundations (Torsten och Ragnar Söderbergs stiftelser) The two brothers Torsten (1894-1960) and Ragnar Söderberg (1900-1974), sons of Olof A. Söderberg and Otilia, née Herzog, were both well known Swedish business men active in the family firm, founded in 1866.
